Kick ass Film review from Empire Magazine

“Lean, green, overly keen teen meets mean tween fighting machine” is the quote from the magazine written below the film’s title as a quick description of the film. This magazine is very positive while describing this film. The star in this film is also on the cover for that month’s issue so it shows the magazine and its audience are fans of him and his work. The massive and quite comical image absorbs the reader into the review; the bright colours and five star rating also make the reader want to buy the film.
The piece has a very eye catching layout which stays interesting to the reader as they go through the text. The film looks very cheerful and as though there could be a comedic element to it indicated by its use of bright colours and large images. From this you can assume that the films audience would be teenagers or young adults, mostly boys, its assumed that the film is not meant for the most intellectual of people which is reflected in the review. They do this by using big images and the text is spread out as to not scare people away from reading it.
The amount of space the article has been given makes it look more important. The way it’s not been squished on a page with five other reviews shows they think enough of their audience will be interested in the film for them to make a big feature out of it.
